Its a fun game, with an interesting concept. But it fails due to some rather irritating bugs.

Someone else wrote "These are the games we played in the 90's". I grew up in the 90's playing games on mega driver, pc and master system, and I disagree with that statement. The games we played in the 90's where hard, but fair. They didn't suffer from input lag or a terrible save system. They had automatic checkpoints so you didn't accidentally have to redo a boss fight (the good ones did anyway, the buggy ones where just that), and while it was often trial and error to figure out how to beat something, when you pressed buttons to do something, it did it.

Point in case, the first bee enemy you face. No matter how I try to time the block, that monsters hit always goes through and gets me. When i try to do the dash attack, its a very hit and miss affair, as it doesn't always work. Needless to say, this is infinity irritating.

Mind that while these are negative comments, it doesn't detract from the story, dialog or other aspects of the game which is generally top notch.

But I feel it has to be remember that a game can be hard because its buggy, and not just because people suck at it.
